Level 20 - build the bridge or do boardwalk

just upgrading to level 20 and have looked at the requirements in the forum for building the bridge. Question:
1) if you have the same requirements for the boardwalk as you do for the bridge do they count against about if you fulfill The orders?
2) those of you who have started to build or who have built the bridge, did you let go of your boardwalk orders?
3) does it matter if you don't fill boardwalk orders for a while?

1. You have to fulfill both separately. Fulfilling one requirement for your boardwalk order doesn't count for your bridge order.
2. I let go of my boardwalk order because of the event, but if I didn't have the event I wouldn't have let go of my boardwalk orders. I would have just done the bridge orders slower.
3. Your ballon count slowly drops again to the minimum if you don't fill your boardwalk orders. I was at 8 which is the max and I'm back at 2 or 3 whichever the minimum was.
